Fairly deep and complex, and quite massive. It feels ready to drink, with lots of open fruit and spices. A little too big a personality for my palate, but interesting and compelling in its own way.

2011 strikes again! Not all that it could be, I'm sad to report. I look forward to trying the 2012 one day.

Black licorice, tobacco, road tar and raspberries on the nose. Palate has all those notes but ends with pure berries and cream that linger. A nice job in a tough vintage. Feel like it just lacks a bit of body and structure vs other vintages
