Not so sure what I'm getting here. The bouquet on this wine is better than the palate IMO. In the nose I'm getting a blackberry and grilled meat kind of thing going on. On the palate, it's a bit different. Although there is a mature blackberry, I'm also getting a lot of black tea, soy sauce, and this wine is a little smoky and dark in the middle. The finish seems to be devoid of most tannin, and the fruit on the finish shows some age. I'm a little bit disappointed overall, and I really hope that there was just a little bit of bottle variation going on here (have another bottle....and I think I'll probably open it SOON as opposed to later).

Good, not great for a $50+ bottle. It appears to be aging well. A light opening, then complex flavors through a decently long finish. 90 RP equivalent.
