Tawny color with light rims. Exciting nose. Notes of dried red fruit, anise, herbal tea, and balsamic vinegar. Soft and delicate in the mouth. Very ripe, almost pruny. Some could argue this is past peak, and is maybe on a downward trajectory. But it’s an age and Barolo style I covet, especially with homemade pasta and a spatchcocked roasted chicken that it paired with.

Nov 27th, 2021Reddish tawny color. Opaque. Enticing nose. Notes of rose petals, black cherries, cigar and dark soil. Silky with strong impact in the mouth. Seems young. With air the impact grows. Great showing.

Nov 26th, 2020Tawny and translucent. Cherry, red rose, tea, anise, some tar and moist black soil. Rich and velvet in the mouth. In a great spot. Gonna pair nicely with a truffle dinner tonight.
