2018 vintage. An absolute delight and perfect Spring wine. Sweet pea, lime, green pineapple, melon rind, a little cucumber-like coolness, rocks. Very Sauv Blanc-esque.

While this has normally been a great, hot Summer day bottle, we're finding tonight that it doubles as a great, cold Winter night bottle!
Nose has pink grapefruit, fresh fennel, freshly washed strawberries and ripe peach.
Palate has ripe grapefruit, Clementine orange, ripe kiwi and crushed mint, with great acidity and a medium finish length.
The value here is so insane, I feel like I'm robbing the wine shop when I pay $20 for this bottle. 🤯

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading GERSHWIN (Piano Concerto in F), GERSHWIN (Variations on “I Got Rhythm,” for piano and orchestra) and STRAVINSKY (Petrushka) with the amazing Jean-Yves Thibaude as the piano soloist on the two first works presented today. Jean-Yves is by far among our favorite pianists to grace the Koussevitzky Shed stage, so graceful, yet poignant!
Hot days call for cool wines, today there are some fun ones planned for sharing.

Very interesting, aromatic wine reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Rare and new mountain grown varietal. Fruity but dry. Short finish, but that wouldn’t interfere with your ability to enjoy it.

Oct 25th, 2020Just straight out delicious. Lemon zest peaches Tide fragrance on nose. Slight sweetness balanced by soft acids and minerals and good length. Yum yum if all Scheurebe like this I'd have to find more. $14 from GL.
