Barolo Chinato is a digestivo- a vermouth-like fortified wine similar to amaro...made with herbs, spices, and botanicals like quinine, fennel, cardamom, anise, citrus peel...macerated in grain spirits then mixed with barolo and aged for 1 yr+ in oak...bitter sweet and full of character. Makes the BEST negroni ever!
