Dark purple black. Hints of mountain berries (like huckleberry and black currants) and black licorice on the nose. Flavor is more berries with plenty of herbal (mint and basil) zip. Lots of action on the tongue. Tart, drying and tingly. Finish has a bit of coffee and chocolate. This is a classy and robust southern Rhône red with plenty to offer in minerality, fruit, & elegance.
