Another triumph for the legendary Randy Dunn from Napa to Columbia Valley! I believe this one was the first time I experienced a wine that was made for a cigar. The nose on this puppy was extremely fragrant! Rose petals, sweet tobacco, mocha, dried cranberries, crushed rocks, brown spices and dried herbs. Now, I expected lower alcohol wine due to Mr. Dunn being a known advocate to lower alcohol wines, but this one was a 14.8 monster that was expertly hidden with great skill. The wine was just incredibly silky and velvety in mouthfeel and no sharp notes whatsoever, exhibiting notes of stewed berries, creme-de-casis, chocolate truffle, over ripe plum, and an absolutely everlasting silk finish. I just couldn't get enough of this wine, and even at its young age! I can't wait to try this one again in the distant future. This wine comes with my highest recommendations.

Graphite, leather, dark fruit and blackberries. Strong tannins that needed time to decant in 2022 to soften. Very good with soft cheese
