Underlying structure and fruit body are sound but found the alcohol and acid a bit harsh on the palate. Not as smooth as I'd expect for a wine 5 years in bottle.

Smooth and silky mouth feel with a tad bit of tightness (2011). I aerated the wine for 30 minutes which helped. Black fruits and balanced acidity. Medium+ to almost long finish.

A blend of 83% Malbec and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 24 months in oak. Huge body, very dense color, and a complex nose. Lots of vanilla and tobacco.

Rich and delicious Malbec with caramel smell med-thick body. Great with the Christmas ham from the Mandarin Oriental

JC Marin brought this 2011 as a blind tasting amongst friends. Unmistakable bold fruit on the nose. Inky purple color. Fruit and pepper dominant, but complex structure that will age well for decades. Great malbec!
Another fantastic night at the wine barn in winter park!
