A couple of years since I last had this wine and cellaring has definitely smoothed it out. Lightly perfumed nose but a powerhouse on the palate with lots of dark fruit and gripping tannins.

A pretty wine. Just a tad bit too much oak and vanilla for the food. You taste the carignan for sure. Kind of like of Bordeaux and Rhone had an illicit love child.
