Okanagan Valley Cabernet Franc

So excited to open this tonight!

Cranberry. Red cherry. Vanilla. Spicy oak.

Found at Urban Cellars. Juicy, light, nice on a warm spring night with braised beef

Earthy nose. Some pepper. Light tannin. Dry. Slightly alcoholic. Moderate acid. Very earthy, not complex and a bit of a quick finish on the palate. Not very bold, more medium bodied red. Nice wine, but not a favourite.

Opens up nicely! Not my fave BC Cab Franc but very lovely & drinkable. A bit on the tart side, but absolutely wonderful 🍷

With mike for his birthday at a restaurant.
Very smooth and easy to drink. A little fruity.
Would get again and again

This wine has a bit of a weak nose for me, you can smell the red cherry and vanilla. Moving over to the taste, it is very mild tobacco taste and more of a light cranberry taste. For me, I can taste the alcohol content boldly but that is just me and that’s why this wine isn’t for my tastebuds. I’m sure if I gave it more aeration, it would be tastier. Enjoy

Smoky notes of tobacco up front with a berry on the back of the palette. Had with charcuterie.

Berry forward Likely great with bbq but drinking with charcuterie tonight. Smooth, touch of cigar and medium tannins.

Very fruity berry taste with a tad earthy aftertaste. Very engaging and smooth and goes well by itself. Definitely a well worth cab franc to imbued
