96 pts - Robert Parker. I'll give it a try. Black cherry meets Christmas spice. Mmm. Well-rounded.

Showing very well out of the gate. Lots of exploding fruits like black cherry but still showing secondary flavors of savory spices and organic earth. Showing nice acid and a silky finish.

Not quite as high a rating as before because this seemed “heavy” - more fruit than anything else and not much nuance. This might have more time it could sit on the shelf or this could be one that may be a couple years past prime drinking. Still trying to decide. . .

Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry and currant. On the palate, cherry, raspberry, anise, balsamic, with a medium- long finish. Medium body. Medium and nicely balanced tannins.

Nose of dark cherries and berries. Hints of plum as well. Medium body. On the palate cherry, oak, earth, spice, cola and a long finish of chocolate. $48 from miramar. Great wine. Love miramar. I am a member if their wine club.

Interesting nose of melon, berries and citrus. On the palate dark cherry and dark berry initially. Long nice finish of coffee and then chocolate. Another excellent wine from Marimar. $50 from their wine club. Tough call if I had to choose one bottle between earthquake block and chicos run from Marimar.
