Fully ripe yet still showcasing that typical Chilean high toned herbaceous almost pyrazinic nose. Maybe a vintage characteristic? Still very youthful. Would like to retaste with more development/tertiary character.

Opened second yesterday after the La Sirena 2005 Syrah was a bit tough ( Sunny's parent's are visiting). Crowd please, velvety and smooth, great nose of dark fruits, lighter notes and less heavy undertones compared to the La Sirena. Finished tonight with pasta and truth be told, some Korean scallion kimchee ( not an obvious pairing) but Sunny said it was great!
