Thinish Syrah. Needs age to become balanced. Good integrated pepper. Raw oak tasting.

Forward, warm, ripe, sweet nose oozing Grenache character. Cherry kirsch, blackberry, savory spice, rosemary, lavender. Intensely mineral mid palate, big tannins moving back to front and back again. Palate-coating monster that needs ample time to settle down. Excellent potential.

Needs some time to open up... ample crushed berry fruit with some spice and soft tannins. #grenache #vacqueyras

Soft and juicy. Not overly complex but good acid. Solid bistro quaff and more than adequate with tonight's sausage and onions. Opened with whiff of brett that faded but not entirely. Pretty good for $19. 14% abv. #grenache

Good value for under $20. Licorice, spice, garrigue and juicy fruit throughout.. Medium weight, refreshing acid. Still drinking good on day 2.

Deep ruby color. Integrated tannins. Flavors and aromas of rich chocolate covered cherries, blackberry pie, aged leather, and silky vanilla. Smooth finish.

2014. Grenache just might be my favorite grape. Pinot noir gives it a run, but not sure it carries the day. This wine is gonna make friends in a few minutes with some Wagyu burgers. Squeaky clean, fruity and lean, it’s a relatively simple wine for a simple meal. Perfect way to start the week. 13.5% abv. $19.
