Bambino Old Hill Ranch Zinfandel

From young vines (22 years old) in an otherwise very old vineyard site. It’s very good but, of course, lacks the depth of an old vine blend. Very pure and juicy dark berry fruit on the nose, almost like a sugar-glazed berry cobbler. Gorgeous balance in the mouth. Ripe fruit, no jamminess, spritely acids, and some very very soft tannin underneath. Not complex or especially deep, but well made. Great cookout wine!

Great as expected from Bucklin but is young and needs time. 90+ now 93 potential in 3-4 years.

Another great field blend from Bucklin, probably the most underrated Zin and field blend producer in California . Wine will only improve in the next 2-5 years.

This is a Zinfandel based on balance and elegance with bright red fruits (red cherries and red plums) with that back slash of white pepper and a touch of earth. Nice bright fruit and not jammy.

Beatifully balanced Sonoma valley Zinfandel. Strawberry, tar, earth and pepper. 13.3% ABV

Boat loads of berries with nice mid level density. Good fruit flavors with balanced acidity.

14.1% ABV Young (1998) field blend, patterned after Old Hill Ranch ancient block. Really good. Will, you have produced a great one here!

Date night

Great zin based field blend, leather and boysenberry and clove, strong acidity for good aging. Very well balanced!
