Lite tråkigare etikett än 10:an och tyvärr lite tråkigare vin också. Fortfarande bra Mencia dock med mörk frukt, mjuka tanniner och varsamma fat.

Definitely picked up on the fact that it was from Spain with the color and flavor profile but had no clue what it could be. Maybe Tempranillo but clearly I was off.

Old vines mencia from 2003 vintage, Bierzo, Spain. Quite surprising after decanting. Spicy, vanilla hints on smell, herbs, apricot, medium-long finish, rounded tanins

2004 Bierzo has aged very well. Strong nose, Smooth beginning, big body then very earthy but pleasant “country” flavour. Under known and undervalued

Good value jammy purple fruit on the lighter end of the Mencia grape.

Very good quite rare Bierzo 2004. Country flavour between tempranillo maybe to malbec because of body. Country flavor almost Italian.
