Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
On the nose, black currants, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, oak, spices, earth, peppercorn, vanilla, leather, smoke, chocolates, alcohol, bitter herbs and bell pepper.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, earth, wood, licorice, peppercorn, spices, green vegetables, herbs and leather.
Medium finish with grainy tannins and tangy cranberries.
A drinkable everyday red wine from Spain. Nice mouthfeel, almost balanced, and not very complex with interesting acidity.
Paired well with food. A nice red at Happy hour.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Clean nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, dirt, barnyard, eucliptus, oak, licorice, earth and black pepper.
Full bodied, soft and elegant, with high acidity and soft legs.
Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, tart strawberries, currants, spicy red pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, earth, animal notes, licorice, cocoa, dark chocolates, cloves, vegetables and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm, but not too overwhelming, tannins and black pepper.
A nice Spanish red with a nice mouthfeel. Complex, interesting and enjoyable by itself, but better with food.
I paired it with mini burgers and a margarita flat bread.
Very ripe, elegant and soft on the mid palate, but also spicy. Short bitterness and tartness at the ending makes it better suited for food. Drink now, while its fresh and vibrant.
100% Monostrell grapes grown in Alicante, Spain. This grape is the equivalent of Mourvedre, and I don't remember having 100% Mourvedre, and enjoying it so much.

Lots of muscadelle raisins and baking spices in the nose. Loads of fruit and some bits of spice on the palate. The alcohol isn't particular noticeable and the fruit doesn't come across stewed...decently made but this just wasn't really doing it for me.

100% monastrell. Another excellent bargain wine from Spain. It's incredibly well balanced with more subtle fruit than some of the jammier Spanish wines. It has some excellent black cherry and leather notes as well as plum and anise on the finish.
