Nothing like a great Syrah with a little bit of cellar age on it. This is a great one but in all honesty it is a tad over the hill. Still enjoyable but I have found that a good Syrah is at its prime 10 years after vintage. Slight muted fruit but still great. Drink up!

Fragrant sweet spices on the nose. Quite vivid and bright on the palate but a nice, enveloping warmth comes through on the finish. Red fruits galore accompanied by the same sweet spice mix. Very enjoyable.

2007- Joe Davis likes to hold back his wines and set them upon the world when he feels they're ready to drink- this Syrah is no exception. Drink now for maximum pleasure- it's doing everything it should..Think Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Yup, that good.

Great for the first half hour out of the bottle, then off a cliff. Oddly early EOL for one of Joe's wines.

See past notes. This is a wonderful new world Syrah. @Scott Petrus needs to give it another go.

Eh. Too ripe. Where are the tannins? Maybe need to try a different vineyard.

Drinking well right now. Delicious. Tastes and smells old world with subtle tannin and really soft but vibrant fruit with subtle spice. Really nice.
