Tobacco pipe and dark berries with an espresso finish. Nice for the price!

2012 vintage, despite what listing says. We used to serve the 2009 vintage at a restaurant I worked at, but this is a very different wine. The nose has the same eucalyptus and strawberry jam quality, but the palate is far more subdued and much greener and less ripe. At 13.5 it's a full percentage point lower in alcohol, so it's possible it was a cooler vintage. I kinda miss the jammy quality.

My 3rd Halloween wine this season. Deep cherry color, full bodied wine with little tannin. Better on the 2nd night. Going to enjoy the weather on the back porch tonight with this one!

Strawberry rhubarb pie with hints of moist compost. Mellow tannins and a little sweet. Of Michael’s children, this is soft spoken Blanket. So young. So innocent.

Just opened our first of 12 bottles. Aging well. Hints of caramel, cherry and licorice. Paired extremely well with beef tenderloin. Looking forward to opening the remaining bottles. 2012

Tasty, but drinks more like a Pinot Noir than a Napa Cab. Medium red instead of inky black-red. Nose of leather, eucalyptus, and light red fruit. Medium acidity and low tannins. Mediocre pairing with dark chocolate.

Really solid for the price. A little on the sweet side, with lots of fruit. Great Sunday evening wine.

Loved the label, but that was about it. Literally a wine I ended up pouring down the drain. No character, watery...
