We usually carry the La Rosta special bottling but this is better all around. Typical Amarone nose of figs, prunes, tobacco and layers of other nuance. Lighter than many Amarone, definitely modern style with fresher fruit and great acid. The palate tastes like the nose promises. Where many are cloying to the point that one glass is plenty, this bottle is very drinkable. Would pair well with duck breast, charcuterie, roast quail, and other light game. Delicious.

Good. Not exceptional Amarone. Wouldn’t turn it down. 😂

Intense. My first time having this variety of wine. Very much got the figs and dates and prunes and other dried fruit. Some people talk about tobacco but frankly I don’t get it. Bracing acidity, definitely kept the sweetness from being too cloying or flabby. Had it with venison sausage and sweet potato pasta in a heavy cream sauce with which it went nicely.

I don’t typically like Amarone, too much raisin, prune, meaty flavors for me but absolutely loved this. Dylan knows.

It is soooo smooth for having such a high alcohol volume 15%. It has dark notes but very light at the same time. I would highly recommend this wine. So good.
