We must have gotten a bad bottle. We bought this at the vineyard after loving it at a tasting a couple years ago. It taste of awful plasticity.

Medium to deep ruby red. Layered nose with dirty attack, a bit bretty and some undertones of blue fruits. Definitely more fruit than the Raats. Medium tannins (5/10) and light plus to medium bodied. A bit of cinnamon, blue fruits, red cherries and even a little bit of cola. Medium length finish. Drink till 2020.

Fifth wine tasted at Afton Mountain Vineyards. Dark ruby red with light purple hues. Complex nose with notes of black pepper, raspberries, and some herby undertones. Elegant palate with black cherries and softer dark fruits. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) with a medium body. Long finish and very enjoyable. Our favorite out of the Afton Mountain lineup. Drink till 2023.

Beautiful cab Franc. Incredibly floral and purfumy! 25-year-old vines serve this wine well. This Cab Franc sets itself apart from most Virginia CF's which have that upfront green pepper nose. This Wine does not have that at all. Love it, it should age well.

Nice light-to-medium bodied wine with good flavor characteristics. The acidity is a little high, but it's enjoyable and food-friendly.
