Crianza Tinta de Toro

Super meaty on the nose upon opening and it took about 2 hours for it to mostly burn off in the decanter while drinking other wines. When it did make it into the glass, it was just incredibly brutish for its age, tannins to grip for minutes. Dark inky opaque color with a burnt orange rim - aromas of leather, cigar ash, grilled meat, black pepper, allspice blend, dried cherries, bruised red apples. Firm structured on the pallet - cigar smoke, luxardo cherry, black pepper, cedar, and leather. Loved this wine, and for a Crianza it was serious and in need of age.

The key to enjoying "big" red wines is temperature - between 60F/15C and 68F/ 20C is ideal - higher and the wine suffers.

Nice Temp. High alcohol up the nose. Fruity and peppery. Decent. Bold

Clear, garnet to rose at the rim, medium tearing, light staining, powerful, still developing violet, anise, dried black cherry, baked earth and clay, vanilla bean and toasted coconut. Dry, dried strawberry, black raspberry, red earth, medium high tannin, medium acid and body, medium alcohol, lush but concentrated body that dries out fully with the tannin, medium+ finish

Smokey cherry jam, good body, a touch of sweetness to mellow out the tannins. A perfect wine to install windows 10 with.

Intense and high alcohol but still manages to be smooth. Easy drinking red for a Wednesday night

Cassis and dark fruit, with spicy notes and some licorice .
