Les Boudots Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir

I should've waited on this, but with food it came to life. Perfectly balanced; structure to spare.

Soft lovely nose of forrest floor dried flowers and subtle red fruits. Beautiful on the palate velvet great acidity. This bottle is at peak and singing right now.

'93 vintage - Another reconditioned HN btl that lacked the nuance and aromatics that you would expect from a wine of this maturity. Good but not great.

Old school bouquet full of dust, tobacco, earthy notes, red fruits, musk and subtle hints of pickles. Mature, yet I am not sure if its already on the peak or still has potential. Unexpectedly sweetish and ripe palate with mature tannin and flavours of sweet cherry, tobacco and musk. Very good, but a little bit vulgar to my taste and not sophisticated enough. Though very interesting experience to taste 17 years old Côte de Nuits.

Fresh, cherries, slight forest floor, lovely on palate. Well balanced. The Littorai is more compelling.

Lots of floral & spice with cherry, red berry fruits, earth, rose petal & orange peel.

Drinking beautifully showing sweet red cherry, berry fruits, spice, sous bois, & violets.

In a perfect spot!
