Fabulous and undervalued 2004 Margaux - it's a baby brother wine. But like many baby brothers, mine included, it stands on its own two feet!

Not our style. No off notes but thin with little fruit and very dry. The flavors are not particularly pleasing to me. To make it worse it is very expensive even on sale for $15 for a half bottle.

Black cherry, cassis, some baking spices, with a fresh, elegant finish. (More expressive on the palette that the nose led me to believe!)

Restrained bouquet. But elegant on the palate. Cassis, other black fruits, subtle spicy notes. Fine grained tannin. Medium acidity. Pleasant finish with a hint of cedar wood, smoke, anise, and nutmeg. Ready now.
