A lovely perfume the initial impression. Bunchy notes amongst the rose petals and violet florals. Medium weight and also medium intensity - a good mouthfeel with that perfume carrying through. Tannins almost totally resolved at 8 years. A very good Yarra Valley Pinot - quite Burgundian in style - the perfume being the standout.

Aug 6th, 2020Dry Cherry - quite stalky. Barb correctly picked Yarra Valley Pinot and 2 years off the age ie 6 years of age rather than the correct 8 years. Not as complex or as good as I was expecting.

Good but not exceptional. Nose is a bit muted, sour cherry, strawberry and a touch of oak gives grip on finish. Other vintages may be better but this is maybe a pass.

Nose a bit muted, a bit meaty but that's it. Good wine though, nice tannins, all in all very pleasant.

Absolutely delicious! There's weight in the aroma, with plenty of dark cherry. A wash of chocolate and rich fruit over the front palate. The background of oak is in perfect balance. Classy stuff. This is what pinot is about.
