1990 Freycinet Vineyard Cabernet Merlot, East Coast, Tas. Cool climate Cabernet grown on brown soil over Jurassic dolerite. Ash and earth aromas, juicy, crunchy acidity, firm on the finish. No sign of greenness. Guessed this wine to be 5 years younger, a testament to its ageing potential. Might not have the depth and stuffing of a CS from the mainland, but well made, like all wines of Claudio Radenti.
