Nice Chardonnay from the Black Sage bench in the Okanagan. Great winery to visit if you get the chance. Unoaked, with peach, apple, caramel notes. Very enjoyable on the balcony with some great weather in Vancity. — 6 years ago

LFNG Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir 2017

A bit of a blunted Pinot noir, and not my favourite from the Okanagan, but still enjoyable. Raspberry, plum, cherry and some vanilla. Mild tannins and a bit of spice on the finish. The LFNG team put on an awesome event in Vancouver to taste some of their recent releases. Great time! — 6 years ago

Another hit from the Meyer wine club shipment. Citrus, apple and stoney. Buttery with bright acidity. All round super tasty chardonnay from a great producer. Tip of the hat to Joannie Rochette. I remember her getting the bronze in Vancouver. What a champ! — 6 years ago

Beauty Aussie shiraz. Blackberries, pepper, plum, bit of licorice. Tannins are still present and some oak. I'll have to try this one again. Went very well with Bohemian Rhapsody. — 6 years ago

Similkameen Valley Chasselas 2017

A clean, crisp and refreshing with some apple on the nose. Chasselas is the main grape from the Swiss Lavaux region between Lausanne and Montreux. It is the best wine to add to a moitie/moitie fondue (gruyere/vacherin). Lavaux is spectacular, with terraced vineyards overlooking Lac Leman. Go check it out if you get the chance. If you can't make it, this bottle from Corcelettes is the next best thing, as it shows the owners Swiss roots. — 6 years ago

Clos du Soleil spring wine club shipment arrived and starts with a bang. Rich, full bodied wine, with tannins that give a nice finish. Black cherry, raspberry and spices. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Malbec making up the rest. Great value and a great winery to visit if you are going through Keremeos. — 6 years ago
