Deep ruby-garnet color; nose of ripe red cherries and plums, dried herbs but not very exciting; on palate dry and concentrated, with firm fine tannins and a long ok finish. Not the best showing of a -15. — 4 months ago
I am a-liking this Etna Bianco from Carricante/Catarratto; pale straw and quite hazy (unfiltered); nose of lemonlime, white peach, green apple and green herbs; palate is taut and salty, with some nutty smokiness (tempted to say volcanic, but who knows); medium, clean finish—food-craving. Lovely. — 6 months ago
Silky smooth, ruby red, clear see-through; tar, violets, white flowers, and dried cherries on the nose; polished tannins, elegant rather than powerful, beautiful balance, with subtle red fruit and spice; refined, lingering finish wothout anything ”sticking out”. Classic 2013?! — a month ago
Pale golden color; nose of pear, citrus, smoke, wetstone; on palate it is dense, dry, mineral, fairly long finish. Fresh and precise, with some smokey power. I am a big fan of ZH. — 5 months ago

Very different from the previous vintage I tried (-21 I think it was). This one more steely and sharp and a more white and unripe fruit profile, woukd be hard to call SB on the nose, blinded. Yet enjoyable and well made. — 5 days ago
