Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2015

Not a typical Pinot noir- restrained and elegant with dark cherries, pepper, cloves and anise. The finish has a touch of coffee and low acidity. — 9 months ago

Petaluma Gap Sonoma County Pinot Noir 2021

Lovely pop and pour PN. Nose shows red cherry, raspberry, warm spices and forest floor. Medium body. Juicy palate that’s delicate and ample. Lightly candied finish.
This somewhat under-the-radar winery is the 2nd oldest in California and is still run by the family. Wines are very well priced for the quality.

Mountain Cuvée Rhinefarm Vineyard Red Blend 2001

This is mountain cuvée Rhinefarm vineyard Sonoma Valley. 69% Merlot, 27% Cabernet, 4% Franc. Long ago in a far away land I was a club member at GunBun. I really enjoyed the wines made there by Linda Trotta. This is my last bottle. Back in the day when they were allowed to call it Mountain Cuvée. 2001 was a cool tannic year and this represents the vintage, but it’s one of the reasons that’s it’s holding up this long. You’d never guess 2001. Dark red color, fruit and tannins with a smooth finish. This is old school in a very good way. — a year ago
