Could easily be mistaken for old world. Solid. I clearly need to drink more from the commonwealth. — 7 months ago

After a day of air… Fabulous !! 46 Merlot, 33CF, 16 CS and 5PV — a year ago
This wine is very dark. It has a fragrant nose, full of blue and black fruit, flowers, cedar, green pepper, and an underlying earthiness. The palate is fruity and rich, with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. There is a bright acidity matched with gentle tannins. The finish is medium long and carries the fruit as a lasting memory. — a year ago

Interesting… A rich and abundant vintage that produces a lean and austere PM - on purpose. This is Michael Shaps! An extremely food, friendly sophisticated PM :) — 5 months ago

10/10/24 ALX Best of Virginia wine class. 100% Petit Manseng. Loved this one! Extremely tart and citrusy, light and refreshing. One of my (and Erin the wine guru!) favorite VA wines! — 2 years ago
Drank it with a French guy who said it was great. Good enough for me! — 4 years ago
Built to be generous and full, this has ample mouthfeel and texture. Acid yields a little bit due to the fat nature. Profile is a beautiful honeysuckle and apricot medley. Wonderful with our Panko chicken and Rich curried sweet potato fries. Holds up nicely to garlic as well.! a great budget Viognier at 30$ — 5 months ago

Solid and virtuous at 14.5yrs old.
Structured and balanced— well made — a year ago
This wine looks yellow-gold with a greenish tint to it. The nose is quite aromatic, displaying a floral note along with massive citrus minerality. The palate has lemon, lime and grapefruit flavors joined by a wonderful salinity. The acidity is very fresh, but the mouthfeel has, overall, a rather soft touch. It’s great to find a Vermentino of this quality that’s made in America. Virginia is for Vermentino lovers, I suppose. — a year ago
Among the Top 5 annually BEST CF’s in the old dominion. Rich but not over bearing or over-extracted. Fresh and energetic acid carry thru to the mid-palate, while enough wood tannin cleans up for the long red fruited jet stream. Ready for any culinary challenge, yet so sophisticated it can be sipped with marvel! — 4 years ago
Ron from VA
2017 was a special vintage… adequate heat, but isolated, micro climate coolness at night. This allowed for some properties to produce an acceptable standalone Cabernet Sauvignon. this build was not a reserve, but it still had balance and utility. I suspect there was a bit of PV blended in for added structure/tannin. Nevertheless, the overall complete product was delightful and paired wonderfully with dinner. (burgers.!!) — 5 months ago
