2013 vintage, a clone, delicious, complex but light and silky. One of the best Mexican wines I've tasted β€” 7 years ago

Fusione di Montefiori Cabernet Merlot 2016

Ripe berries on the nose. Needs some time to open up. Earthy, herbaceous, and hints of plum and raspberry. Surprisingly fits well with spicy food. A nice bottle. β€” 3 years ago

On the nose, stewed, slightly sweet & sour cherries, strawberries, red licorice/cola, dry hay, soft, understated green pepper, loamy soils, limestone and bright red, fresh florals. The mouthfeel is lush, rich, round and still fresh. The tannins are soft and nearly completely resolved. It's right around it's peak 20 years down the road. Sweet & slightly sour cherries, poached strawberries, cranberry juice, strawberry licorice/cola, red fresh florals, soft, elegant limestone minerals, crushed dry rocks, dry stones, dry hay, suede style leather, round mouth watering acidity and a long elegant finish that lasts well over a minute. The owners are Giancarlo and Nuccia Glode. They purchased the winery in 1984. The Winemaker's are Alberto Montefiori & Paola Gloder. 80 acres of the estate are under vine. Of these, around 38 arces were planted in 70s and are in the process or have been replanted in order to accommodate more dense plantings. Oak use is new Slovenian oak barrels and 500 Liter French oak barrels. The two different sizes of barrels affect bouquet and tannin differently. Total production is 90-95,000 bottles or 7,700 cases. Photos of; the estate, large oak vats, tasting room and grounds. Beautiful property! β€” 7 years ago

Beautiful winery. They have a great selection of wines with reasonable prices.
I have been buying directly from them for the past several years.
A must visit when there.

@leon egozi Italy is my favorite country to visit and not just for the wine. Beautiful country, great food and of course, the wine doesn't suck either.
