Ruby in color with medium intensity.
Fruity nose of red and blue fruits with light wood, chocolates, spices, licorice and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with cooked cherries, plums, light oak, chocolates, licorice, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and herbs.
Nice finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 8 year old Pinot Noir from Napa Valley is drinking at the end of its peak. Complex and engaging. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Rich and fruit forward.
Fully resolved now, and would not get any better from this point. The alcohol is well integrated by now.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Pinot Noir grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 11 months.
Nice, archetypal Napa cab from mountain fruit. Cherry, plum, tobacco, spice, cedar. Tannins are firm, and the wine is on the rich side. It is oak-forward but it’s balanced. — a year ago
