Fill was 4 cm below cork, which was soaking wet, all the way.
Palate kinda muted, clipped finish.

Straw, medium viscosity. Ripe citrus: Meyer lemon, key lime, lemon curd; ripe yellow apple, red grapefruit pith. Vegetal with notes of watercress, celery, and cracked white pepper. Medium + stony minerality. Tart on palate where acidity is medium + verging on high with prominent phenolic bitterness. Medium alcohol. — 4 years ago
White flowers, apricot, honey, and minerality. Elevated acid. On gneiss soil.. — 6 years ago
Straw golden in colour yet this is no Spätlese.
Puristic, pure and stony mineral in the nose - slate, warm stones, a salty whiff and only far in the back - a piece of white peach, a slice of underripe pineapple, a few drops of honey.
Clean as a whistle and so fresh.
On the palate this is tightly wound and with great focus & depth, yet this has some substance & weight, too.
White peach, apricots, white pear and some rye toast. And lots of stones. And some white tea like tannins. And a very long, mineral, pure, beautiful finish, that leaves a hint of creaminess in the after taste.
What a beautiful, complete & complex wine!

Pale gold with green reflexes. Nice aromatics with a ripe apple, a touch of pear, some mirabelle plums and summer meadow flowers. Midweight on the palate with juicy acidity, nice texture and great purity of fruit. Apples and herby flowers again, with some white pepper in the finish. This has more weight vs the average German Riesling, but remains elegant and with nice tension despite not having the razor sharp mineral acidity. This is a very, very nice wine. — 6 years ago
Peter Sultan
Opening bottle for a special night out, paired with a modern Korean tasting menu. Color is a knockout goldenrod, with the bottle age bringing a rounded, textured mouthfeel really matching the raw fish, Unami notes, & intricate textures of the first 2/3 of the menu. Dried apple, sulfured apricot, & celery notes. Elegant & pretty long. While dry really approximates an aged German Reisling, with such a plump, yet refined acid backbone. — 2 months ago
