St. Peter's is a fine brewery, and this Plum Porter is a favourite of mine. Deep, dark with a smooth as stout mouth feel with lovely plum overtones. St. Peter's is a craft brewer who have a good reputation for quality beer. This one is a staple of the good folks in Suffolk with English Pale malts and ever popular Challenger and Goldings hops. This gives a pleasant traditional light English bitter with subtle caramel and toffee taste and aroma. Malt is light but distinctive as is the foamy head on this golden ale.

One for Summer ... and Spring and Autumn ... oh alright Winter too.

10 seppelt St. Peter's : vv dark, int, little d'ment. Cool oaky nose, graphite, touch of mineral. Palate again noticeably cool fruit character, lively entry, not overly intense , middle wgt centre which finishes surprisingly early. Good, not great. — 12 years ago
