Dark garnet with near black core. Cabernet-forward nose of cassis with a bit of green. Palate is full-bodied with medium tannins and juicy medium plus minus acidity, and confirms the nose adding no blackberry and a wee bit more bell pepper (normally a turn-off for me, but in this higher-acid blend, it works). Finish is moderately long and continues the palate. Australia has come a long way with its reds and this is a great example of how. Fruit forward yet food friendly, the Cannonball is an excellent entry into higher end Aussie reds. Drink now through 2028. — a year ago
Wow, can’t think of anything negative to say other than perfection!

We are members at this winery... I know... Idaho is still figuring out how to do wine, but this wine is a bit-o-alright! Every other month we make the drive to the winery to pick up our allocation. While there is no restaurant at the winery, you are allowed to bring a picnic lunch. Sitting inside or outside with a picnic lunch and w a tasting that comes free w membership is delightful! Staff is so pleasant, and the winery has remained open (with restrictions) during this time of Covid . We like the experience, and THAT’s why we are members. We were willing to put up w mediocre wine for the EXPERIENCE. But, hey, this wine definitely surpasses mediocre! — 3 years ago

This is a good wine, though the Love Idaho Red is a closer match for me. — 8 months ago
An underrated, easy drinkin’ three blend that is a joy to drink. You can dress it up with grilled meat or dress it down with pizza. — 3 years ago
