Lemon, ginger, slate, bright acidity. — 11 years ago
Very interesting. Midpalate has brooding texture. Pear and ripe citrus dominate. A touch chalky on the finish. — 3 years ago
First bottle of a little at home Domaine Bohn tasting, an old family-owned Alsatian producer. Outstanding NV 100% Riesling. Floral yet dry, notes of pineapple and minerals. A pretty heavy white at 14.1% abv, but doesn't feel like it. The Schieferberg vines are grown in Precambrian shale 💀 — 5 years ago
3rd and final Bohn bottle. ✨ Magical aged Riesling. Glad we saved the best for last! Subtle petrol fragrance, strong acidity, dried apricot, golden raisin, almond, sherry. Quite complex. I’ve never had a Riesling quite like this. It was great with lemon-Parmesan risotto, crispy mushrooms, and balsamic chicken. 13.5% abv, lager-colored. — 5 years ago

Riesling from the Schieferberg lieu-dit, a hill known for its schist soils (Schieferberg means the schist mountain). Flinty, mineral notes on the nose. Quite dry, green apple — 2 years ago
