Pool toy, petrol. Riesling nose, possibly from age. Nice structure. — 8 years ago
Warm citrus leaf and basil on the nose. Hint of smokiness or even volcanic soil. Lovely round, rich fruit and almond finish. Great structure and pleasing complexity. — 10 years ago
Best Wine I have ever had. It's the first wine to allow me to think of wine differently. It's very buttery with soft citrus notes. It paired incredibly well with seafood. Truly unforgettable — 5 years ago

Nice cidery fruit and pleasant bitterness definitely encourages further sips. — 10 years ago
A little effervescent - I liked it! — 6 years ago
Pfirschgeschmack mit einer schöner Säure. — 6 years ago
Why does this Vermentino have such a relatively low rating, 8.5, as of this tasting? This tastes like a hybrid of Chardonnay and Sancerre. Perhaps it's too friendly, too drinkable. Not too much for me. — 9 years ago

The wine producer Poggio dei Gorleri, from the small hamlet Gorleri, is located high above the Ligurian coast near Imperia, called the Ligure di Ponente, Italy. The producers’ focus is predominantly on the Pigato grape, delivering minerally, white fruit, very fresh white wines. This Shalok stands out from the white wines produced. Made of 100% Granaccia/Grenache/Alicante, this wine is bursting with red fruits. Quite dark with flavours of berry/blackberry fruit, some chocolate, some wood, with very smooth tannines. Only 1,122 bottles produced. — 5 years ago
