This is Sequoia Groves entry level Napa Cab, but it punches well above its price point. At 5 years old it was a Lucious, fruit forward cab that paired well with a variety of food, especially red meat. Nice nose, It Also enhances the flavor of chocolate. Very approachable wine. That’s USCD! Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Chardonnay 21 @12540, Pieroth, 241011 — 2 months ago
Vineyard sits on Willakenzie soils in the heart of the Yamhill Carlton AVA. Ruby red color with aromas of red and black fruits and spice, aged for 10 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with tobacco, herbs and earthy tones. Full-bodied, fine tannins, balanced, medium finish ending with big earthy spice notes. Nice now! Will age a bit! — 8 months ago

1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Cedar, mint, and anise on the nose. Tamer on the palate with dark cherries. Lovely texture but medium minus depth. Short finish. The best of the Sequoia Grove single vineyard cabs, but still overpriced. — 4 days ago
