If making a 'Condrieu' good looking Viognier was a paradigm in California 15 years ago, Ranchero has made the dream became truth..Ripe apricot and peach notes along with wild flowers notes. The use of oak and not evident at first sip. This is a great white to explore, sit down and have a holiday meal.. — 7 years ago

The better steak wine over the 2009 Ormes de Pez but, not the more beautiful, elegant wine.
The 2010 Rioja marries the Wagyu Ribcap while showing its Ranchero characteristics.
The palate shows tumble-weed, tannin fruits that are; brambly, ripe, slightly candied; blackberriesblack raspberries, dry, dark cherries with skin, ruby, black plums, very w/ ripe strawberries. Tumbleweed, straw, dark spice, tough leather, clove, sage, dry clay & top soil, crushed rocks, black pepper, dark, berry cola, mint, oak barrel powder, used charcoal with candied florals that are fresh & withering; dark, red, purple & blue. The acidity is top flight. The long finish is well balanced fruit & earth, persisting nicely falling onto earth & dark spices.

The 2013 vintage Silver Buckle Cellars Ranchero, central Coast California blend of Syrah, Merlot and Zinfandel varietals. Mocha, vanilla, blackberry, an abundance of red field berries, clove, hint of cinnamon, roasted beet, sweet leather. Full bodied, medium plus tannins, well balanced, soft supple crowd pleaser. This wine is a perfect pairing for vegan roasted beetroot salad, BBQ or braised ribs or a patio with a great friend. Enjoy 2015-2018. — 9 years ago
