Equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan.
Strong tang on the nose. Damson and leather and cobbler’s glue. Deeply meaty, on the biltong/bresaola/basturma spectrum. Intense, the acidity spiralling through the palate and drawing in a kaleidoscope of flavours: dried tomato, sumac, goji berries, pomegranate molasses, cinnamon, rosehips, hibiscus petals, fresh sweet clementines, cobblestone-market dust. Chalk- and chalk-dust-textured tannins slipping into the taste of cold river pebbles under the fruit and spice. Complex, long, a labyrinth of hidden corners and spaces to explore. 27 Dec dinner at Violet Oon w M, Katja, George, Adelia, Emelia, Cory, Summer, Quinn. Textured, rich, fruity.

This is eccentric, idiosyncratic Anders at its finest,. This is a blend of Syrah and Grenache Blanc alongside 6 varieties of red and white grapes usually intended for eating (Muscat Noir, Muscat Blanc, Chasselas, Italia, Ribol and Cardinal) Sour cherry fruit, floral, and GULPABLE.

Rouge 2019 from Ardéche.

Raisins de Table (Muscat blanc, Muscat Noir, Chasselas, Italia, Ribol Noir and Cardinal), Syrah & Grenache Blanc. 13,5% alc. The destemmed Raisins de Table and Grenache Blanc have been macerated in the pressurage direct juice of Syrah, for 6 weeks. After maceration the grapes were pressed for 3 days in our little vertical pressoir. The following fermentation took place in barriques for almost 11 months without soutirage. All fermentation has been on the yeast (sur lie). Bottled the 22nd of August 2020. Light red wine with a very solid expression. Many things are going on, on an aromatic level. Both Muscat and Grenache Blanc are very easily recognized. — a year ago

From 60- to 80-year-old Chenin Blanc vines on clayey-calcareous soils at the border from Saumur and Anjou, the dark lemon-colored 2014 Vin de France La Perlée was aged for 30 months on the lees (no racking!) and is pure and mineral on the deep and concentrated nose that reveals beautiful lemon oil aromas. On the palate, this is an intense, ripe, rich, soft and elegant Chenin structured by very fine tannins that lead to a very long and complex, stimulating salty finish. Bottled in spring 2017 with moderate 12% alcohol and 42 milligrams per liter of total SO2, this is a weightless and tender, almost caressing Chenin with great complexity and charm. Irresistible.
