Still absurdly primary. But it is extraordinary that Pontoni can achieve balance with that much fruit. — 9 years ago
The new vintage does not disappoint. Well, they do, now do they?? Ending Pontoni is a master and this specific wine show his amazing skills and the variety’s true potential. Briadscaled and viscous with tropical notes, serious structure for ageing and bountiful acidity hiding in the background. It is indeed always a true pleasure to taste these rare gems, and while I’ve had better versions (splitting hairs), it’s still bloody impressive and a wine to seek out whatever the cost. This is 2013 Cab Franc. Herbal, cool climate, yummy pyrazine with classic fruit - awesome $14 Euros in Emilia Romagna restaurant. — 9 years ago

I was thinking Corton-Charlemagne all night drinking this concentrated yet airy Friulian interpretation of Burgundies finest white wines. Enzo Pontoni is a master on so many levels and even in this rather warm vintage, his wines capture true complexity and multiple layers of flavour. No rush here. — 6 years ago
