Surprisingly bright for its age with lemon curd and red apple and just a touch of oxidation to add depth. Bruised apple and lemon peel fruit on palate. — 9 years ago
A nice dry white. — 10 years ago
Flirts with, but does not quite enter orange wine territory. The skins definitely make their presence felt, but there is also a range of citrus and flowers, a bit of nuttiness — 6 years ago
That’s fine Franc! — 8 years ago
Wow, what a nose. White chocolate and overripe pear leaps out at my from the glass, along with some beautiful earthy notes. Good residual that's well balanced by its acidity and floral/mineral notes. Complex and quaffable. — 10 years ago
A complete wine. Delicious! — 8 years ago
A little past it's prime, however fun to taste. Tons of muted secondary and tertiary flavors. Mushroom, leather, tobacco, tea, earth. Muted red fruits. Medium acidity, tannins, body. Fun to compare old brunello vs new! This must have been fantastic 3 years ago. — 9 years ago
Well balanced, and enough nose that I could enjoy it even with a cold. — 10 years ago

This was the 1st vintage from this producers single vineyard plot. “Le Due Porte” with only 2200 btls made. Notes of cherry, plum fruits, dried herbs, licorice & tobacco, silky mouthfeel that needs a few more years in the cellar. — 5 years ago
