This was a fantastic wine. Nose is hard to discern. But after a 30 min decant, the wine opens beautifully to ripe blue fruit, blackberry and hints of red fruit. Lovely mouthfeel. Just easy drinking, great ripe fruit forward wine. I see why JS gave it a 99. Loved it! — 22 days ago

2022. Second of the four different Olek Bondonio wines I picked up several months ago. I could pair this wine with so many different dishes (or gladly drink by itself). Lighter color and body do not equate to lower flavor. Cherry, floral, peppery with acidity and tannin levels that are well balanced. We thought this was Sangiovese from outside of a recognized DOC, but I guess it’s CS/CF blend. Lots of red fruit on nose: cherry & strawberry, herbs, pepper, quite dusty early on, really needed time to unwind. Earthy, brambly, kinda gnarly, this really evolved over the night. Med weight, dried herbs and red fruit on the mid-palate w/supple tannins leading to modest finish. Interesting, definitely showing some maturity, but unusual given the varietal composition. — 2 months ago
