Really tasty Grenache. Very fruit forward, with pomegranate, some rose, very slight peppery notes and maybe even a little eucalyptus on the back end. The palate has prominent notes of fresh plum and vanilla, pineapple juice and other citrus, medium body and paired well with chorizo and eggs with onion and hot sauce. Whew! — 2 months ago

93. Wasn't able to taste this at turley but bought it on the 94 WS/96 RP rating. Would have to taste it against the ueberroth, pesenti, and rattlesnake to determine my favorite. 13 pesenti was amazing but don't know who is the favorite for 14 — 8 years ago

Hayne Vineyard Petite Syrah 2018

Dark purple color but maybe a twinge lighter in color than the Pesenti. Sugar plums, blueberries, and milk chocolate on the nose. Massive tannins and tons of fruit, this wine is packed with flavor. Full-bodied it coats the mouth and the finish is quite long. Amazing wine, this one can stand the test of time, and probably should. Used the Coravin on this for a small taste. Will lay it down in the cellar for a bit along with its twin. — 4 years ago
