One of the best Brazilian wines ever! — 3 years ago
Good!! Very tannic and easy to drink. — 4 years ago
Medium bodied with a vibrant golden yellow color. The nose is very prominent, with both beautiful prominent salinity opening into baked notes of glazed doughnut, amber, candied pecans, cumquat and lemon preserves. The palate is very different, with a light acidity and prominent yellow fruit notes especially ripe lemon. The flavor then evolves into something both nuttier and more vegetal with a loooong finish that lasts forever with a freshness, citrus and minerality that comes from a volcanic island wine. Perfectly paired with fresh poke! — 4 months ago
For the price - great. — 2 years ago
A beautiful red brick color. Candied cherries, clove and cinnamon aromas and flavors. A California-style pinot noir made in Brazil. @Antonio Galloni , you should try the wines from this producer. They got nice ratings from Decanter Magazine. It is something new and different in the wine world. — 4 years ago
The 2005 Latour is a huge wine predestined for long-term aging. Noticeably deep in color, it has a showstopping bouquet with intense black fruit, graphite and touches of dried blood and tobacco as it considers moving into its secondary phase. But that's going to be slow coming...it's in no hurry. The palate is medium-bodied and unapologetically classic in style. I notice this bottle is a little grainy in texture, the salinity perhaps heightened as it enters adulthood. The finish has a tangible sense of tension, but it remains backward and swarthy. Immense. Tasted at Woo Cheong Tea House dinner organized by Paulo Pong. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)
