Violets, blue and blackberry, pepper, baked strawberry, applewood, warm black earth, apple pie and mincemeat spice, magnolia and pungent tropical flowers flourish on a broken pencil finish. Tannins articulate a natural, amorphous refinement, surfacing in unpredictable quadrants. Like fog rising from a dense pine forest, unpredictably. — 9 years ago
This was deliciously cranberry driven initially, with yesterday's coffee, plum, pepper and black walnut, which re-perfumed into yesterday's baked Bing cherry pie and dusty, cedar hope chests filled with vellum and pressed wildflowers. Raspberry, mint and pomegranate with bits of pith. Earthy, smoky and tumultuous with firm, but sultry tannins throughout. A dusky lady climbing a volcano in a weathered frock. — 8 years ago
