Tried to Coravin a glass but no luck, this was so reductive that efforts were futile. So I drank a taste of campfire and the day after opened it and tasted for real. The profile is full northern Rhône, maybe with a touch of gamay. Small red berries, bramble, a touch of organic earth, layers of stony complexity and tasty tanning. Extremely elegant showing, very tasty but only after lots of air. UPDATED from 9.4 to 9.2: I. Is tasted it on 4 occasions and the greatness, though there, shows itself only under perfect air and temperature. A bit too finicky — 3 years ago
Señor Perez has *never* disappointed me. This is Puligny meets Grosses Gewachs. Fantastic minerality and round fruit, but bone dry. Superb with Branzino. — 4 years ago
