Light medium caramel core , light copper rim. Quite mature , with spiced creme brûlée , saffron , burnt sugar , some crystallised orange peel , desiccated coconut . Slightly monochrome . On the palate this is quite light , with quite high acidity and a burnt caramel bitterness . Medium sweetness only , quite refreshing acidity . Slightly bitter orange caramel finish . Shows incredible restraint on fruitiness. Despite a nose of blueberry pie, stewed peaches and a hint of honey, the wine is bold and masculine when it hits your palate. The flavor is almost smoky. My first thought was "monochrome" but not in a unidimensional way, more like a perfectly composed black and white photo. No one does a Zin quite like Wilson. I <3 them. — 11 years ago

L35028. Not sure of disg info, but I bought these btls in 2017. Lovely. On the nose: melon with some savory notes. Soft herbs, preserved lemon. Fantastic acidity, lemon peel, cucumber, tangerine. Lovely clean finish. In a fantastic place. — 5 years ago
