Nov 2025: PnP, better than the 2014 that I tried a couple of weeks before, more balanced, lively and not overloaded with oak as the 2014. — 6 months ago
15% Barbera. Strong. Powerful but ready. Smooth tannins. Delicious. A miracle wine considering the vintage. — 7 years ago

Consistent from last review. Good wine - great value. Better than the 2016 I last rated. Much more pepper and fresh fruit. Very well made. Completely sold out everywhere currently, and I can see why... wine snobs (like me) and people who rarely drink wine will be equally happy. — 6 years ago
A very competent & relatively muted Priorat. Probably higher score w more time in glass as relatively tight — 10 years ago

The 2022 Desti, a Grenache dominant blend from the middle elevations of Merum’s vineyard in the Priorat, is wonderfully ripe and approachable even at this relatively early stage. Sweet black and red fruit, minerality and concentration showing the rocky soil of the region, a bit of balsamic and mild spice. The tannins are stiff, acidity is brisk and it runs a touch hot at 15.5%abv, all of which point to the potential of a long future and softer wine down the road. — 12 days ago
