This 1996 Lafite bottle after a 4.5 hour decant not as good as the previous one. It still combines sheer massivity with elegance. Notes of leather, earth, lead pencil, plums and olives dominate. Unfortunately there is a slight rustic note that seems to come and go that detracts in this bottle. Still a superb wine and loom forward to the next bottle! — 3 years ago
Rather closed but still attractive. Dark fruit, but crushed violets loom. White pepper hints. — 8 years ago

Same good friend im always on about opened this up for us last night, very responsible social distanced getting drunk and looking at each other. I dont know if california cabs get better than this. I honestly don't because I don't have this kind of wine budget. But its an excellent wine. From what I remember...Jeez the bottle weights like 5 pounds, its a silky beautiful, fragrant cab tastes like rose pettles, earth, loom, berries, awesome midrange turn up the dial to 11 and dissapears. And bone ash is a badass name for a middle school white zombie cover band...does anyone ever read my reviews? I think I just type this for myself to laugh at years later. — 4 years ago

Wasn’t sure what to expect from an Oregon Grüner. I already loom forward to future bottles Green apple, nice acidity, mineral finish. Love this wine. — 2 years ago
