Hot yellow raisin in hazelnut oil, raw spaghetti squash, warm watermelon rind, linseed oil, pine nettle, juniper nose. Creamy squash on brioche, not a pronounced acidity here, but the fat isn't the typical pit-fruit travesty either, although it has a resonance that suggests apricot oil. It's bodyweight suggests a salinity but it finishes amarula and papaya. Worked with a clean, asian-inspired steel-cut, mushroom and hempfu comfort meal. — 10 years ago

We usually enjoy Argentinian malbecs, so we wanted to try a French version. Some earthiness on the nose, and every bit the 14.5% alcohol content. Lusty and fruity, with a hint of a chocolate liquor...a pure chocolate, not Kahlua, and also the familiar and expected cigar box. Grippy tannins and elegant. Does this go with tonight's pizza?
